Ep 8. Managing Life Seasons & Homeschooling with Elaine Mingus

Hi Friend!

In this episode we hear from Elaine Mingus; wife, homeschooling mom of seven, entrepreneur and contestant in the Mrs. Texas pageant. We hear Elaine's story of redemption and how she managed and embraces all the different seasons of her life.

About Elaine

As a vintage furniture reseller, Elaine Mingus likes to think of herself as a “fixer of broken things” or as someone who “gives value to the unvalued.” When she started picking up discarded items on the side of the road as a way to pay off debt for her large family of 9, she could have never imagined she would not only pay off debt, but would turn it into a 6-figure business.

After years of gathering, repairing and restoring unwanted items…she realized there was a deeper meaning in her work. A message for everyone who ever felt forgotten or broken, a message of hope that everyone has value…but sometimes it takes someone else to find us, dust us off and restore us to wholeness.

Her mission is to tell her story, offer practical business advice to entrepreneurs, and encourage everyone to become the person they were always created to be.

About the Podcast

The Mom CEO Suite Podcast (for Mom Entrepreneurs)
Life and business strategies to help stay at home mom entrepreneurs thrive at the intersection of motherhood and entrepreneurship
Motherhood gets hard. Entrepreneurship gets hard. But together, we can do hard things.

I'm your host Phylica! Wife, mom and entrepreneur. I'm the Founder & Podcast Host of The Mom CEO Suite. In August 2021, I had my first child and life changed! It was no longer business as usual. I had to learn how to navigate this new norm of being a work from home mom, on top of entrepreneurship. As you can imagine, it was a challenge. This sparked my passion for helping to make life and business work together for mom entrepreneurs.

In this podcast, I'll be sharing my mompreneur journey, along with strategies that will help you build your service based business model online in a sustainable way. The goal is to help you build a business that fits into your lifestyle as a mom who values putting family first.

We will also hear the experiences and expertise of other moms with service based businesses. You'll get a peek into our journeys, so you'll know you aren't alone.
